Return To All Work

Lemon Slayed

This was a bit of sillyness turned portfolio piece. I had the idea for a fun lemonade logo, made it, enjoyed it and put it on here for reasons I'm yet to fathom.

I figured it would be good to show some work that clients haven't had a hand in - this being one of them. It's a strong brand that would sit well on a shelf of it's competition and has plenty of personality.

What was I thinking?

Pairing a contemporary colour scheme with a bursting typeface and a fun little lemon mascot is a powerful combination that would no doubt position itself somewhere above your average everyday lemonade stand.

The yellow (because lemons) and red felt like a good direction to lean in - thanks McDonalds - the shades themselves, the bright yellow tones feel exotic and cheerful and the muted red sits against it as a strong contrast which works nicely for accessibility purposes but also feels cool and contemporary.

The wide set typeface is called '8 heavy', its curved are packed with personality without becoming too childish. Pairing the core typeface with some additional complimentary typefaces gives the brand a little more depth.
